  1. It sure is a good thing we went into Iraq to liberate the Iraqi people from a brutal dictator.

I’m glad to see Obama has been hitting Afghanistan a lot in the last few days. Because that may be one of the worst things this administration has done – and that’s saying something. We left the job 1/3 done and then moved onto Iraq. And now Afghanistan is deadlier than Iraq.

It is an absolute travesty that coming up on seven years later, we’ve got no idea where bin Laden is, and the Taliban is regrouping.

Democrats need to hit this again and again and again.

  2. GB, yep.

We dropped the ball in Afghanistan. Bush allowed our military to get distracted in Iraq rather than focusing on the real enemy.

In the words of John McCain:

“And, therefore, we should–it should be a centerpiece of our policy after we finish the business in Afghanistan and bin Laden to end that regime.”

But later, McCain seemed to be unconcerned about finishing the job in Afghanistan when he became a pro Iraq war shill.
